We are watching the BYU video production of A More Perfect Union, which documents the writing of the Constitutional in Philadelphia in 1787. Students should pay close attention to topics such as three branches of government, separation of powers, checks and balances, and elimation of the slave trade. There will be a quiz after the movie.

Last week we turned in our Geography packet. This week we are learning about Early Native American tribes, and the early contacts with Europeans. We discussed Columbus making the “New World” to Europe and the rest of the world, instead of discovering it. Students have received the following assignments:
